A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Romford to help support a Supported Living service on an interim basis with the potential to turn permanent. I am recruiting for this exciting opportunity on behalf of a service provider for adults living with Autism, learning disabilities and/or Mental Health issues.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced support worker who has their Level 2 in British Sign Language to work with an incredible organisation who have great growth opportunities and a fantastic reputation providing quality care for service users.
Support Worker Responsibilities:
Assisting the patient with bathing, grooming and getting dressed
Handling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundry
Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time
Administering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnel
Providing mental and emotional support
Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
Organising suitable recreational activities for the patient
Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible careSupport worker Requirements
Experience of supporting people with a learning disability / mental health needs.
NVQ Level 3 in Social Care and Level 2 in BSL
Clear written and verbal communication style.
IT literate and confident in the use of different IT systems / packages.
Willing to undertake required training, sometimes off site and
