Location – Telford & Wrekin Council, Children’s Safeguarding & Family Support Team
Hours – 37 hours per week
Contract – 6-month contract, Hybrid mix of home and office
Salary – £28.55 per hour (Umbrella)
Service Care Solutions is working on behalf of Telford & Wrekin council and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Children’s Safeguarding & Family Support Team.This is a 6-month agency contract offering competitive pay and the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting children and families across Telford.
The Role
As part of the Safeguarding & Family Support Team, you will:
Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and care proceedings
Undertake assessments, planning and direct work with children and families
Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
Prepare reports for court and attend hearings where required
Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote positive outcomes for children
Ensure all practice is compliant with statutory guidance and safeguarding proceduresRequirements
Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW or equivalent)
Registered with Social Work England
Proven experience within Children’s Safeguarding / Child Protection – minimum 3 years perm in a local authority
Strong assessment, report writing and court work experience
Ability to manage a varied caseload effectivelyWhat’s on Offer
