I am currently representing Haringey Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate LTD (Inside IR35) which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are looking for a Senior Commissioning Officer this role will be: N22 6UX (Flexi Working)
The right candidate will:
The main purpose of the role would be to support the Alternative Provision and SEND Commissioner on the development of the SEND Education Sufficiency Strategy as well as the SEND Joint Commissioning Strategy (health and social care) that builds on an analysis of the current provision landscape, the place pressures across the Borough and the relative priorities for the placement of SEND pupils in and out of borough.
1. Support and administer the commissioning of a wide-ranging portfolio of SEND services, including early years, children and family support and respite services and education placements.
2. Support on the commissioning of services through the specification and procurement of service provision, working in partnership with other services, agencies, and the voluntary sector to meet the identified needs of residents.
3. Support the Head of Service to continuously improve the quality and impact of care, education, health, and family support services through the implementation of strong, outcome-focused commissioning practice.
We require the following:
* Experience working within a local authority DESIRABLE.
* Knowledge of early intervention/education and SEND services
* Experience of developing and/or delivering SEND services.
* Proven experience of commissioning, market management and contract management; including specifying, monitoring, and evaluating service outcomes and targets.
