    Base Salary: £31,524

    Top Salary: £32,931

    We are looking for a Residental Therapeutic Invervention Worker this role will be: TW1 3BW

    The right candidate will:

    Hope House is the first children’s home within Achieving for Children. We look after up to four children aged10-17withemotionalandbehaviouraldifficulties. Achieving for Children (AfC) is opening a second children’s home in Old Windsorinthesummerof2025whilstalsodeveloping outreach services to children and young people on the edge of care.

    * The Therapeutic Intervention Worker will provide day to day care of children and young people within a family-based environment that promotes positive attachments and relationships; working within the wider frame work of professionals and families in order to understand a childʼs life experience and respond and actin ways that promote a childʼs opportunities and potential.

    * The post holder will work directly with children providing the best quality of personalised care that meets their needs. Through the process of building meaningful relationships, they will be part of a team that provides warmth, nurture and care for very vulnerable young people.

    * The postholder will contribute to developing and maintaining stimulating, nurturing home where children feel happy, cared for and safe.

    * Theyoungpeoplewelookafterhaveexperiencedsignificanttraumawhichrequireshighlevels of compassion, empathy, resilience and understanding. Due to this trauma, they can present with challenging behaviour, including self-harm, physical outbursts towards staff and each other and a variety of other risk-taking behaviour. We have a responsibility to make them feel safe and cared for. All staff are integral to the running of the home and contribute to team meetings, shift debriefs, supervision and appraisal, whilst also, with support, leading shifts.

    * This role will also involve providing 1-to-1 outreach support to children, young people and families in their ownhomesandinthecommunityaswellassupportingparentsinimplementingstrategiesaround particularly challenging times. You will work to prevent children coming into care and provide respite to carers by undertaking activities with young people and liaising with professionals to enact tailored targeted support packages for matched referrals.

    We require the following:

    * An understanding of the social, emotional, educational, cultural, religious and recreational needs of young people.

    * Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
