About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to take the lead in a brand-new children’s home based in Leyland. This is a rare chance to join from the very beginning — shaping the culture, direction, and success of a new service designed to provide outstanding care and support for children and young people.
You’ll be supported by a strong and forward-thinking senior leadership team who are committed to delivering high-quality residential care. The home will initially provide care for 2–3 children, offering a stable, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can truly thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and all relevant regulations.
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of residential staff to deliver exceptional standards of care.
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, external professionals, and the wider community.
Ensure the home operates in line with the organisation’s vision, values, and safeguarding standards.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain “Good” and “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a new team.
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
