    Randstad is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Lancashire County Council’s Duty and Assessment Team based in the Fylde and Wyre area.. This is a full-time position offering an excellent hourly rate of £36 per hour.

    Respond promptly to new referrals, completing timely assessments under statutory duties, including Section 17 and Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.
    Conduct comprehensive Child & Family Assessments to determine needs, risks, and appropriate interventions.
    Make informed threshold decisions and identify the most appropriate level of support or intervention.
    Participate in multi-agency strategy discussions and joint visits with professionals such as police when safeguarding concerns arise.
    Lead Section 47 enquiries to assess and manage risk to children.
    Present cases at legal planning meetings and progress matters to PLO or court proceedings when necessary.
    Undertake meaningful direct work with children and families, ensuring their voice is central to assessment and planning.
    Collaborate with schools, health, early help services and other agencies to ensure effective, coordinated support.
    Produce clear, evidence-based reports for Child Protection Conferences, LAC Reviews, and court hearings.
    Apply the Signs of Safety model to assess and respond to risk and need.
    Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records on the case management system.
    Engage actively in team meetings, supervision, and reflective sessions.
    Manage a busy duty rota with a balance of urgent responses and planned assessments.
    Requirements:

    Registration with Social Work England
    A recognised Social Work degree or equivalent qualification
    Enhanced DBS checkExperience:
