Join a respected housing association at the heart of the community, managing a vibrant Extra Care Scheme in Hawkhurst that supports older residents to live independently.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Extra Care Scheme Manager to lead the day-to-day running of Bowles Lodge in Hawkhurst, ensuring the delivery of high-quality housing management services and a thriving community environment for residents.
Provide excellent housing-related services in line with best practice and regulatory standards
Take ownership of scheme KPIs, ensuring targets are met and reported
Build and maintain positive working relationships with care, catering, cleaning and FM contractors
Manage low-level rent arrears and take action in line with organisational policy
Line manage and develop the Extra Care Scheme Assistant
Deliver a varied and engaging activities programme for residents
Ensure health and safety and safeguarding procedures are always followed
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a housing management or scheme management role, ideally within extra care or supported housing.
Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of older residents
Experience delivering excellent customer service in housing or support environments
Knowledge of welfare benefits, budgeting, and housing risk assessments
Confident using Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems
Able to communicate effectively and build trusted relationships with residents and stakeholders
THE CONTRACT
37 hours per week with the flexibility to be able to work more than these hours on occasions.
8am–6pm Monday, 8am–4pm Tuesday to Friday
A lunch hour will be paid for on Mondays where, due to lone working, it is not possible to leave the scheme.
Permanent – £32,456 per year, plus benefits
