Are you an experienced Children’s Team Manager with a passion for making a difference? Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a skilled and motivated professional to lead their Children & Families Team based in Stroud. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dedicated team of Social Workers delivering vital services to children, young people and families. They also offer accommodation or mileage expenses of up to £150.00 per wee (terms and conditions apply).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of qualified Social Workers delivering statutory services
Provide effective supervision, performance management and quality assurance
Oversee complex cases involving Child Protection, Children in Need, Children in Care and court proceedings
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice and child-centred work
Support with team development and cohesion through strong leadershipWhat are Gloucestershire looking for from a Locum TM
Proven experience managing a frontline children’s social work team
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and court work
