Are you an experienced Adults Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? Dudley MBC is seeking a confident and skilled Social Worker to join their Learning Disabilities Team, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives.
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role for someone with at least 2 years’ post-qualified permanent experience in Adults Social Work who thrives in statutory services.
The Role
You will manage a varied and complex caseload, completing:
Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews using strengths-based, person-centred approaches
Support planning and risk management
Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interest decisions
Court of Protection and DoLS work
Transitions from Children’s to Adult Services
Multi-agency partnership work with health, housing and providers
Duty rota responsibilitiesAbout You
Social Work England registered
Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW)
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation
Confident managing complex LD cases
Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licenceWhat’s on Offer
