Locum Adult Social Workers – Community Learning Disability Team

Swansea City and County Council is currently seeking two dedicated and experienced Locum Social Workers to join Adult Services. These full-time positions offer a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities in the community, while working within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority.
Available Roles:
1 x Social Worker – Transitions Team
1 x Social Worker – Adults Team
(Both roles are within the Community Learning Disability Team)Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing high-quality statutory social work with adults with learning disabilities and/or those in transition to adult services. The roles will involve:
Undertaking assessments and reviews under relevant legislation
Supporting safeguarding and welfare interventions
Working in a multi-disciplinary setting to promote independence, inclusion and person-centred planning
Maintaining accurate and timely records using the WCCIS systemThese are hybrid positions with an expectation to work from home, the Guildhall in Swansea and undertake face-to-face visits as required. This will include safeguarding and welfare assessments in the community.
Qualified Social Worker status and current registration with Social Care Wales
Experience in adult social work ideally within learning disabilities or transitions
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014)
Familiarity with WCCIS is highly advantageous
