Team Leader – Children’s Residential (3-Bed EBD Home – Low Risk)

⏰ 40 hours per week | 2 on / 4 off rota (includes sleep-in shifts)
We are recruiting 1 x Team Leader on a 12-Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover) basis, with a strong prospect of a permanent position following the contract.
This 3-bed home supports young people with low-risk EBD and provides a stable, nurturing alternative to foster care. Placements are typically longer term, with a focus on consistency, structure, and positive outcomes.
You will report to the Registered Manager and take a lead role in shift management and care delivery within the home.

The Role
Working a 2 on / 4 off rota including sleep-ins, you will:

Lead shifts and deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care
*
Supervise and support Residential Support Workers
*
Contribute to care planning, safeguarding and risk management
*
Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance
*
Build positive relationships with families and partner agencies
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*
Minimum 1 year residential childcare experience
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
*
Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
*
Understanding of trauma-informed practice
*
Ability to lead shifts and maintain professional boundaries
*
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
*
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
*
Previous supervisory experience
*
Knowledge of Ofsted standards and residential regulations
