Locum Children’s Social Worker – Kinship Team

Gateshead Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join thier Kinship Team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team focused on supporting children and their kinship carers within a well-established local authority. As a key member of the Kinship Team you will work under the guidance of the Interim Kinship Team Manager and be responsible for:
Supervising kinship carers
Completing Connected Persons Assessments and Regulation 24 Assessments
Conducting Foster Carer Reviews
Contributing to the delivery of support services for kinship placementsRequirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Proven experience in children’s social care ideally with a focus on kinship care or fostering
Strong assessment, report writing and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environmentContract Details
Locum/Agency Contract
£27.56 per hour (via umbrella)
