Are you passionate about supporting refugees and helping individuals integrate into their communities? We are seeking a dedicated Resettlement Officer to deliver person-centred resettlement programmes, enabling refugees and resettled individuals to thrive in the local area. THE ROLE
As a Resettlement Officer, you will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support individuals and families through government resettlement schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering holistic support plans to help individuals live independently and integrate into the community
Securing suitable, affordable housing and liaising with landlords and housing providers
Conducting welfare checks and making safeguarding referrals where necessary
Supporting access to services such as DWP, ESOL classes, education and healthcare
Promoting community cohesion and working closely with local organisations and volunteer groups
Managing data in line with GDPR and responding to FOI requests
Attending partner agency meetings and emergency call-outs when requiredTHE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a resettlement or housing role, ideally supporting vulnerable or migrant populations.
You will also have:
Proven experience supporting refugees or migrant groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good knowledge of local services and multi-agency working
Ability to manage sensitive cases and maintain accurate case notes
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and emergenciesTHE CONTRACT
WORKING HOURS: Full time 37 hours Monday-Friday, option for hybrid working
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3-Month Contract, potential for extension
RATE: £18.35 per hour LTD company rate / £15.75 PAYE (inclusive of holiday) HOW TO APPLY
