THE ROLE
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Extra Care Scheme Assistant to support the Scheme Manager in delivering excellent housing management and resident engagement at our Extra Care Scheme in Hawkhurst.
Support with day-to-day housing management tasks and scheme operations
Help coordinate and maintain an activities programme for residents
Provide a welcoming induction and settling-in service for new tenants
Complete health and safety checks and ensure compliance procedures are followed
Report safeguarding concerns and maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Deliver outstanding customer service with a person-centred approach
Work collaboratively with on-site teams and the local community
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer-focused or housing-related role, preferably within a supported or extra care setting.
Genuine interest in working with older tenants and improving their quality of life
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Confident communicator, both written and verbal
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and bespoke ICT systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure, work independently, and make sound decisions
THE CONTRACT
21 Hours per week
2pm – 6pm Tuesday to Friday, 8am – 1pm Saturday
You must be flexible to work beyond these hours occasionally to cover training or emergencies.
If covering for the Scheme Manager and unable to leave the scheme for a lunch break, a lunch allowance will be paid.
You will not be required to work bank holidays. If Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday, you will be expected to work the following Monday instead.
