I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Youth Support Worker this role will be: E14 2BG
The right candidate will:
* To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people.
* To support and work in partnerships to maximise the opportunities for young people.
* Working directly with young people to support their personal and social development, improved emotional well-being and resilience and reduce barriers to access positive life choices, learning and employment and prevent escalation to specialist services.
* To promote and develop the active involvement of young people in the design and evaluation of services and ensure young people have voice and influence, actively seek their views support their decision making.
* To promote and develop the voice and influence of young people and to actively seek their views and support their decision making.
We require the following:
* Experience of work in an inner urban area, with complex social needs and disadvantage.
* Developing targeted youth work which meets the needs of vulnerable young people
