I am currently representing Newham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for an Anti-Social Behaviour & Nuisance Manager this role will be: Hybrid E16 2QU
The right candidate will:
* Provide professional advice and expertise in the identification of factors that are impeding effective delivery processes and work with strategic and operational managers to outline the systems and processes that may involve the Council, partner agencies and community-based resources.
* To lead the operational approach to resolving cases of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and nuisance, through close liaison with Newham Council’s Housing service, the Community Safety enforcement teams and other internal and external partners, ensuring that appropriate procedures are followed and are targeted towards effective resolution.
* Ensure effective management of investigations, case files and delivery of positive outcomes, including prosecution of cases at magistrates and civil courts, and tracking customer satisfaction and complaints to ensure corrective action is taken, when necessary.
* Ensure Case Officers respond to, investigate and resolve service requests relating to ASB and noise nuisance outside of normal office hours in line with published service standards.
* To lead the team in working closely with residents and other stakeholders, consulting with them through appropriate channels and relevant forums, using information from these and other sources to identify problems and to take effective action.
* To lead on high-profile and high-priority ASB cases and always, ensuring effective case-management and that all involved parties are kept updated.
* To ensure safeguarding issues are addressed as part of a multi-agency approach, work together to protect residents from immediate risk and inform a long-term action plan in order to provide a permanent solution for all residents affected. To hold regular panels with police teams and other local stakeholders in order to plan actions for high profile cases, ASB ‘hotspot’ areas and to safeguard vulnerable victims.
We require the following:
* Evidence of successful outcomes when addressing ASB, fostering high levels of ownership and accountability when delivering ASB services.
* Experience in compiling files of evidence for all court arenas, including attending court to provide evidence
* Experience of performance monitoring and implementing improvement plans
