About the Role
As the Staff & Trainer Development Officer, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering a high-quality training program to care staff across Glasgow and the surrounding regions. You will be training groups of people, both small or large, in-person and will be supporting them in developing their skills through online training. You will be working closely with managers and care co-ordinators to identify training needs and will be developing training plans, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting and co-ordinating in-person training sessions
* Develop training materials and resources to support the training sessions.
* Delivering training programs including inductions and online training
* Collaborating closely with the head of the business, managers and care co-ordinators
* Ensuring that all staff are up-to-date with the latest procedures, policies and best practices in social care
* Maintaining accurate records of training delivered and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
* Providing guidance and support to care staff to help them achieve their full potential
* Participating in and supporting the company’s efforts to maintain high standards of care
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
* Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed.
Skills Required:
* Passion for improving the quality of care through effective training and development programs.
* Experience working in social care with good knowledge of the care sector
* Strong presentation and facilitation skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
* Self-motivated with the ability to adapt training techniques to meet the needs of different learning styles.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
