Locum Social Worker – Children in Need (CIN) Team

Leicester City Council is currently seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join the Children in Need (CIN) Team on an ongoing assignment. This is a hybrid position with an expectation to be in the office typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (subject to agreement with the Team Manager). You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 20 children with work predominantly based in Leicester City, though some children may be placed further afield.
You will be working in one of Leicester’s most pressured but rewarding service areas – so they require practitioners who are confident, resilient and skilled in Child Protection and Court Work.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years post-qualified permanent experience in statutory children’s services
Strong working knowledge of Child Protection procedures, Children in Need processes and court proceedings.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
SWE registered and compliant with current legislation and statutory guidance.Working Hours:
Mon – Thurs: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Fri: 8:30am – 4:30pm
(Out-of-hours work may occasionally be required)Additional Information:
