Are you an experienced Adult Social Worker with a strong background in safeguarding? Blackburn with Darwen Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled locum Social Worker to join the frontline Adult Safeguarding Team.
Key Responsibilities
Triage and respond to all safeguarding concerns received by the local authority.
Implement immediate safeguarding plans to ensure service user safety.
Conduct safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014.
Work collaboratively with health and care professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Maintain high-quality accurate case records in line with legal and organisational standards.Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England
Significant experience in Adult Safeguarding
Strong understanding of the Care Act and safeguarding principles
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced frontline settingWorking Conditions
Minimum 60% office-based (3 days per week) in Blackburn
Remaining time hybrid working post-induction
